I returned from my last trip to Costa Rica in late January 2007.  This is the busiest I have ever seen the South Pacific region. Between the busy hotels and busy restaurants the excitement and energy was seen everywhere.  However, the laid back charm of the region, beautiful wildlife and easy-going lifestyle are still the most appealing reasons to visit (in my opinion).

I met with several hotel owners who said that they are over 96% booked from mid-January through to April.  In fact, one owner has six consecutive weeks of repeating clients booking his entire hotel.   Not too bad considering he and his wife just purchased the hotel less than two years ago!

Our real estate company continues to grow in terms of new clients and new staf on almost a weekly basis.  As some of our guests have learned, it is imperative that you move quickly when you see a piece of property you like. Our clients in the last several weeks have come from the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. The South Pacific coast is just starting to be discovered, so please move quickly if you are itnerested in learning more about owning property here.

I also met with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of San Isidro. San Isisro is a beautiful city that offers both the appeal of a larger city, but also the charm of a small town. Although the city has 40,000 people living there, once you go about 15 minutes outside the main central business district you will find yourself in some of the most beautiful mountains in the world. Here they grow many types of crops including coffee. It is not unusual to see a cowboy riding his horse down the street outside of San Isidro.

We have planned numerous trips for guests to visit the South Pacific coast of Costa Rica. As expected, everyone has loved it who has visited. As a reminder, we can help plan your trip for you.
