Nick Halverson Costa Rican Update

Nick Halverson Costa Rica real estate

The momentum of the Southern Zone is picking up.

When my friend of 25 years and Paradise Brokers' CEO Jim Gale first visited Dominical approximately three years ago he was amazed at what he saw.  He immediately called and invited me down a couple of months later. Since that time we have met many people who have their opinions about the future of the region.

Also, during that time we met plenty of "nay-sayers" telling us that nothing was going to get better and this area was going to be forever remote, with limited access and limited amenities.

Well, I'm glad we didn't listen to the "nay-sayers" and stuck with our beliefs of what this place could turn into.

We were told that the Costanera Highway was going to be improved. At that time the Costanera Highway did not even have painted lines in the road. Now it is one of the safest roads in the country given its great quality and the painted lines with reflectors that are on it from Dominical to Palmar Norte. Additionally, the road from Quepos to Dominical is continuously being improved upon. We have seen a dramatic increase in traffic in our offices in Dominical and Uvita from clients who have come down south from Jaco and Quepos. They are all amazed by two things: (1) The beauty and, (2) The affordability of real estate in the zone.

Now is the time to purchase real estate in the zone. Our area is still a fraction of the cost of areas such as Jaco and Quepos, and there is still several years before the prices are matched in our area, but now is the time to purchase. In fact, we have lots for only $49,900 available right now with easy 2WD access and a lifetime golf membership.

During that first visit I was told that a hospital was going to be built in the grassy field located between KM marker 193 and 194. Now, the hospital is slated to open next month.

Finally, we were told that a new airport was going to be built. This was doubted by many up to last Saturday when Costa Rican Oscar Arias visited Palmar Norte to formally announce the opening of the new airport in the region. In fact, I was told numerous times by "experts" that the airport was only a rumor. We continuted buying land while those "experts" told us we were crazy. Due to our decision, we believe that we should pass some of those savings on to you - that's why our property is so affordable.

If we don't have exactly what you are looking for, we will make sure we go out and find it for you. For the past three years, Paradise Brokers has prided itself on being the best real estate brokerage company in the area.

I can't stress this enough, but now is the time to visit Costa Rica and pick out your piece of real estate. What do you think will happen to prices once the airport is completed, the highway from Quespos is completed and the hospital opens? That's over $75 million of government spending in infrastructure that is taking place as I write this letter.

I look forward to seeing you in Costa Rica!

Pura vida!
